The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house that has a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of nsfas login earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
